A Letter from the Founder

Hi! I'm Danielle, Mum of our feisty studio name-sake, qualified Primary teacher, experienced Art Educator, recycled materials hoarder, crafter and all-round manager of things.

I created this space 4 years ago after 20 years working in schools, to nurture kids' creativity and build a community of makers & crafters.

My favourite unattributed quote is that "Art makes Children Powerful" and I love to provide kids with stimulating & exciting materials (often recycled) to see what they come up with.

Meet our teachers!

Mariana De La Rosa

Mariana is our fabulous Designer from Mexico with a passion for arts and education. With 5+ years experience facilitating kids art, drama and music classes. She loves crafting and visiting museums with her 3 year old son. Mariana teaches our Preschool classes, Kid Fun Art at RPS, Art Playgroup & School Holiday programs.

Kate De Kantzow

Kate de Kantzow has always had a passion for art and studied art and design throughout her education. She is an accomplished artist working in watercolour and currently designs bespoke stationery for boutique homeware stores. You can find her designs on insta @the_card_that_kate_made. Kate has over a decade worth of teaching experience and teaches Teen Paint Studio, Saturday Paint + Draw, Preschool classes & school holiday programs.

Penelope Bolkovsky

Penelope is our wildly creative Sewing & Craft whiz. She is a Fashion Designer and has her own vintage-inspired label penelopered.com.au. Penny shares her crafty know-how in our sewing classes and school holiday programs.
